Project Description
Traffic flow on Interstate 25 from Bijou Street to Fillmore Street was especially
heavy, which caused frequent stalls and stops along the interstate.
The curves in this area of the interstate further slowed down traffic.
On- and off-ramps were not long enough to accommodate the backup of traffic.

Current Status
Construction is complete. 

Project Solutions
Straightened curved segments of northbound I-25.
Reconstructed the Interstate to provide a continuous acceleration/deceleration
lane and a wider median.
Reconstructed the Uintah and Fontanero Street Interchanges.
Modified the off-ramps at Fillmore Street.
Modified the on-ramps at Bijou Street.
Improve signs and lighting on the interstate and at interchanges.
