Information about the Rusina Road Southbound Interstate 25 Safety Public Information Meeting

The Fillmore to Garden of the Gods construction widened I-25 between Fillmore Street and Garden of the Gods Road to three lanes in each direction, improved the northbound on- and southbound off-ramps at the Garden of the Gods interchange and provided noise walls for the Holland Park and Holiday Village neighborhoods. The majority of the work in this segment is complete and opened to the public for beneficial use.

• The speed limit has been increased to 55 mph; however, fines will continue to be doubled in the segment until remaining minor construction items have been completed.

Major work items included:

• Pavement widening on the median/inside section of the highway (Complete)
• Widening of the Ellston Street bridges (Complete)
• Reconstruction of the Garden of the Gods north ramps (Complete)
• Widening and replacement of the I-25 pavement north of Garden of the Gods (Complete)
• Noise wall along the Holland Park neighborhood (Complete – December 2005)
• Noise wall along the Holiday Village neighborhood (Complete – September 2006)
